SLAVERY AND REPENTANCE

My friend Zak Grant, a talented portrait photographer, was invited by Liverpool Cathedral to photograph a series of portraits featuring 20 individuals from Liverpool 8's Black community. The portraits were exhibited alongside quotes from the participants, reflecting on Liverpool Cathedral's historical connections with the transatlantic slave trade. Zak asked me to assist with graphic design, branding, and exhibition curation. Recognising the significance of this project, I was happy to volunteer my time to help ensure the exhibition conveyed its important message with the respect and gravity it deserved.
