About Kula Yoga School
Kula Yoga Studio's 200 hour Teacher Training program utilizes both the Anusara Immersion and Anusara Teacher Training to fullfill Yoga Alliances requirements to be registered as a Yoga School and to certify instructors as Certified Yoga Instructors. Grounded in the philosopical basis of Intrinsic Goodness that rests at the heart of Anusara Yoga, Kula Yoga Studio's Teacher Training program is about expanding the experience of goodness in each of us and for some, helping others to expand this experience for themselves.

About Kula Yoga School Training
This is some of the best training, most recognized throughout the yoga industry! Of the top 20 up and coming, young (under 40) yoga instructors in the US, Yoga Journal named two that are certified Anusara Yoga instructors.
Kula has combined The Anusara Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training plus additional work to satisfy the requirements of Yoga Alliance to be a registered Yoga School. Completing Kula's 200 hour teacher training program will allow you to register with Yoga Alliance as a Certified Yoga Teacher and at the same time meet part of the curriculum for Anusara Yoga's teacher training program. The Anusara Immersion and Teacher Training content can also be applied toward becoming recognized as an Anusara Inspired yoga instructor. The Anusara Immersion and Teacher Training are also often looked at when applying to various other Anusara workshops and events.
Unlike many yoga training programs that entail an extensively long teacher training program, the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training workshop is a small portion of their total certification requirements. By presenting the teacher training in one small section, students and instructors can concentrate on how to teach rather than what to teach during this workshop. The Anusara Immersion Training contains much more of the information that a teacher may decide to instruct, including alignment, history, philosophy and more.
Teachers can take the Immersion; enjoy learning the content without having to be responsible for how to present the information at the same time. It is highly recommended and at times required, that a participant have a very strong familiarity with Anusara yoga or have participated in at least part of the Immersion before attending the teacher training. You must have either attended 50 or more hours of Immersion training or gained special permission to attend the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training at Kula. The Anusara Yoga Teacher Training does not present alignment, asana, history or much of the other content necessary to teach; rather it concentrates on how to teach the content.
Full Anusara Training
In order to take the required teacher training presented by John Friend, in the Anusara Yoga Certification process, instructors and students must have completed the full Anusara Yoga Immersion, presented by a certified Anusara Yoga Instructor.
The program presented at Kula will not certify an instructor in Anusara Yoga but will complete requirements for part of this. Instructors can however complete all the requirements needed to be recognized by The Yoga Alliance as a certified yoga instructor. Yoga Alliance will recognize your study and hours and will recognize them as hours of study from Kula of Anusara Yoga. If you are not clear about this please ask before you decide to dedicate your funds to this program.
Because the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training program has never been presented in Utah prior to the program at Kula and the Immersion has only been presented once in Utah by certified instructor Adam Ballenger, there have been a lot of questions about the program. If you have questions please feel free to contact Adam@KulaStudio.com. If you are thinking about taking a certification program, especially the one presented at Kula, please be clear of your intentions, why you have decided to apply, what you hope to get out of it, what you hope to do with what you learn, how you want your study to be recognized by others (if that is important to you) and what you hope to get out of it.
